Unplugging

How do you know when it’s time to unplug? What do you do to make it happen?

Unplugging is hard for me. I use the Internet to promote my business and do vendor events. Those weeks it’s very busy as you have to participate as well as promote. Every Sunday for over a year now I unplug on Sundays. I will check my emails in the mornings. At first it was hard and now I love it.

I find other things to do that day. I need to completely unplug for more than one day. I think I will try to do more days maybe now the summer is coming. I will let you know.

  1. Unplugged

She kept on and on and on

Every time I moved … she responded

Every time I spoke … she responded

    I endured

    The relentless contributions

    She insisted making

    The relentless corrections

    The relentless refusals

    The relentless determination to correct

    She felt like a parent

    And so it was

One very early morning before the break of dawn

That I crept towards her as she slept

    In spite of my loneliness

    I pulled

    out

    the

    plug

    Alexa was no more.
